Bio

When I'm asked to describe myself, I say I'm a Software Developer. I work at Atlassian. While Atlassian is headquartered in Sydney, I work remotely from Newcastle, NSW. Newcastle's tech community is a focal point of my passion. I've been organising the Newcastle Coders Group since 2013, I'm a moderator of the Newwwie Slack community, and I'm part of the organising community for the ..NEW software development conference. I'm constantly blown away by the friendliness and openness of Newcastle's tech community; everyone is welcome and valued. Outside of Software Development, I'm a husband of more than ten years, and a martial arts fan training with the Newcastle Karate School and Machida Brazillian JiuJitsu Club in Hamilton, Newcastle.

Speaker Bio

Klee is a Software Developer working at Atlassian, and organiser of the Newcastle Coders Group. He is an advocate of agile and Clean Code software development methodologies who loves to talk about what we can do to build better quality, maintainable software. Outside of software development Klee is a fan of Martial Arts, Motorcycles, Netflix and spending time with his wife and cats.
